2018 YOUTH TOUR REPORT
Lilliana Hanson makes once-in-a-lifetime memories in Washington, DC.
Lilliana Hanson expressed her sincere gratitude for being chosen to make the NRECA Youth Tour Trip to our nation’s capitol and shared some of her experiences.
“I have seen so much – all of which I never would have been able to experience without this incredible Youth Tour trip. From the Nationals vs. Giants Baseball game to meeting Montana Senators, Steve Daines and Jon Tester, to the National Aquarium.”
I’ve gotten to see so much more...which to me was absolutely breathtaking, including old Alexandria, the Capitol, and several memorials and monuments like the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and Washington monument. These monuments and memorials of war and important leaders throughout history were truly insightful.
Besides all the amazing things I got to experience, I also got to meet fantastic new people, not just from Montana and North Dakota, but from other states on the Youth Tour as well.
During the trip, I attended both a class and a conference detailing and expanding on all electric co-ops do in their community, and also what they do to help others across the world. I now have more knowledge and more in-depth view of what cooperatives do.
Thank you for sending me on this trip. I am so grateful that you gave me this opportunity that most people don’t even get in a lifetime.!”
Thank you, Lilly for letting Southeast Electric know how your trip went and you are very welcome!
