Southeast Electric Cooperative Inc. will be partnering with the Ekalaka Lions Club for a Walk for Diabetes Awareness (date and time to be announced) at the Medicine Rocks State Park. There will not be an admission cost, however, we will have a donation box available for contributions to the Montana Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
Bring along any unused eyeglasses and hearing aids for the Lions Club recycling program.
Activities will open with informative speeches from three individuals from our community who have been effected by diabetes.
For fun and exercise, participants can walk for any distance they choose. The longer route will take them past key "landmarks" located in the park. Join your friends and neighbors in this worthwhile activity. In the event of rain, we will hold the walk at the Carter Co. High School Gym.
If you are under age 18 and a parent/guardian will not be with you, PLEASE stop at the Southeast Electric office before (date) to get a Liability Waiver Form. All other participants can complete this form the day of the walk.
