Jessica Cole, a junior at Carter County High School has been selected to represent our area at the 2010 Youth Tour to Washington D. C. Jessica is the daughter of Southeast Electric members Don and Jennifer Cole from Alzada. Jessica submitted an essay identifying and describing the key qualities that are important to young adults, and explain where today's young leader should be focused. Jessica feels "the most important qualities include a good work ethic, flexibility and patience." She also believes the young leaders of today should be focused on creating and achieving their goals while helping others achieve their goals. Jessica is involved in FCCLA, National Honor Society and C-Club.

Southeast Electric became involved in this program in 2003 together with most of 24 other Montana electric cooperatives that belong to Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association.
Southeast Electric has sponsored this trip previously for Melody Malenovsky in 2003, Tandy Schneider in 2004, Kayla Fix in 2005, Shephanie Steffes in 2006, Leah Brence in 2007 and Angela Brence attending in 2008. Also in 2008, Cody Cole was the Montana representative selected by Montana Electric Cooperatives Association who sponsored his trip. Brent Fix attended in 2009.
