Southeast Electric (SECO) partnered with the Town of Ekalaka to finance the purchase of a pre-owned backhoe which will primarily be used for sewer and water projects.
Pictured with the new backhoe is Elston Loken, Water and Sewer Superintendent and Janell Dean, Clerk/Treasurer with the Town of Ekalaka; Marlene Waterland, Member Services and Jack E. Hamblin, General Manager, of SECO.
Financing was available through a Rural Economic Development Loan program provided by Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Upper Missouri G&T. This program will establish a revolving economic development loan fund for our use for qualifying projects until December, 2017.
